SEPTEMBER 2010 September is National Preparedness Month. Sat. and Sun., the 3rd, 4th and 5th, and 10 A.M. - 4 P.M. , Mon. the 6th. CARC will be hosting an information/demonstration booth at the Law Enforcement Building. Set up will be Thurs. the 2nd at 12:00 P.M. Program: Nick Petro, WX3H, from the Flagstaff National Weather Service will do a presentation on the deployment and operation of the remote radio-controlled rain gauges that have been deployed in the Schultz Fire burn area. ***11 Sep. - Barn Burner Redux - originally scheduled for June. was canceled because of the numerous fires in and around Flagstaff. We are gonna have another go at it on 11 Sep. This is 104 mile mountain bike race on a 26 mile loop (4 laps) around Kendrick Mountain.
